New think tank and training facility will focus on teaching and incubating new ideas in claims management through real-world research and development
SAN RAMON, Calif. — December 14, 2006 — Solera today announced the scheduled opening of its
new Institute of Management and Innovation in Spring, 2007. The Institute is part of a $7 million
investment in a modern 31,000-square-foot facility designed to meet the growing needs of Solera.
The Institute’s mission is to foster experimentation, learning and innovation and will contain a
dedicated training and research center for exclusive use by Solera associates and invited customers.
The addition of classrooms and state-of-the-art vehicle repair bays will allow Solera staff to identify
and enhance global industry best practices and apply them to the North America market. Solera is
scheduled to open more Institutes around the world, with a second facility planned for Europe.
"Knowledge is at the core of what we do," said Tony Aquila, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Solera.
"By committing ourselves to developing applications and best practices for the industry, we enable
our clients to drive efficiency in the claims process." Added Aquila, "We use our own claims
technology at our shared services operations, so we gain a deeper understanding of how they can be
most effectively utilized for our customer’s business advantage. Like a triangle, which is the strongest
geometric shape, Solera’s three offerings—claims technology, shared services, and consulting—join
together to reinforce and strengthen each other."
